Membership


The Hutt Valley Branch offers:

  • Rifle range with shooting distances of 200 yds.
  • Hunts Course two levels of hunter training course aimed at new or young hunters and advanced course for graduates from the entry level course.
  • Game trophy and photographic competitions.
  • Range shooting competitions.
  • Monthly club nights with a variety of interesting speakers.
  • Members receive the "Hunting and Wildlife" Magazine quarterly.
  • All members receive the branch magazine "Tararua Rag" monthly.
  • Senior, Associate, Family, Junior, Superannuant and Student members are covered by the Association's Public Liability Insurance Policy.

To join the Hutt Valley Branch of the NZDA please print and fill out the membership application form below and send it to the address below. A membership renewal form for existing members is also below.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • OUR FINANCIAL YEAR COMMENCES 1ST MARCH AND THE FEES SHOWN ON THE APPLICATION FORMS ARE FOR THE 2011/2012 YEAR.
  • Membership renewal invoices are raised by NZDA head office and mailed directly to current members

Range Gate keys

  • Members can obtain a key to the NZDA lock on the gate at the main car park on the way to the range.
  • We keep strict control on the keys leased to members The range lock is changed each year and a new key is issued only to a financial member. This key must be returned if you cease to be a financial member.
  • If you wish to obtain a key then the best way is to attend the branch monthly meeting and show your current membership card. You will be required to sign for the key.
  • It should also be noted that persons declared as “Prohibited” by the Police in terms of Firearms Legislation are not permitted to possess range keys.
