    About Us : NZDA Hutt Valley BranchBranch MeetingsMeetings are held the third Wednesday evening of each month, except December. Doors open at 7.30pm and meetings start at 8.00pm. Meetings are held in the Provincial Rifle Clubrooms, Messines Road, Trentham. We endeavour to provide a range of speakers on subjects of interest to hunters and shooters . Refreshments are available and there is a small door charge to cover hall hire costs. We hold an annual club auction night which is enjoyed by all and a great way to "exchange" old hunting or outdoor gear. We also have experienced reloaders who can provide guidelines for safe reloading practices, as well as helping determine the most accurate loads for your rifle. Rifle RangeThe branch has a rifle range with covered benchrest facilities in the Rimutaka Incline recreation area. The range is built to modern standards and provides shooting up to 200m. A key to the main car park gate is available to members and enables driving right to the range. The range is generally available during the week as well as weekends, but check for bookings in the Taraua Rag.
HUNTS CourseLike many other NZDA branches around New Zealand, Hutt Valley Branch runs a hunter training course "The HUNTS Course" for those relatively new to hunting. The course is run along modular lines and is integrated with NZ Mountain Safety Council courses.
