Club Hunts 2008

As you would have seen in a recent newsletter, the committee is keen to organise more club hunting trips this year. The trips planned and completed last year were a huge success and we’d like to thank the people who were involved in these (both organising and attending) as without you they would not have been such a success. We hope to be able to publish some more stories of club trips again this year in the ‘Tararua Rag’.

Below is a list of current trips which are planned for this year. To take part you must be a member of HVNZDA. Due to the current weather situation, please contact the club hunter_enquiry@hvnzda.org.nz to determine if the hunt chosen will go ahead. To get involved in these club hunts the process is as follows,

  1. Choose a hunt from the list which matches your interest and skill level.
  2. Make initial contact through the club at hunter_enquiry@hvnzda.org.nz . Your enquiry will be forwarded on to the person in charge of that particular hunt.
  3. The person in charge of your hunt will make contact will you. At this point it may be necessary to discuss more details of the hunt and gain a better understanding of your hunting experience to make sure the hunt is suitable for you.
  4. After talking to the person in charge of the hunt and gaining more information about the hunt and your experience, you will be asked to pay a deposit to secure your place.
NB: Please note that these club hunts are a chance for you to meet and hunt with different people from throughout the club. There is no guarantee of shooting game. All hunts are on public, free-range land available to anyone. Like any hunting trip, we have no control over the weather. The person in charge of the trip reserves the right to postpone or cancel the trip as he/she sees fit. Approximate costs for hunts are included only to give you a “ball-park” figure of the cost involved. These costings are NOT definite.
