Club Hunts 2011/12

To take part you must be a member of HVNZDA. To get involved in these club hunts the process is as follows,

  1. Choose a hunt from the list which matches your interest and skill level.
  2. Make initial contact through the club at hunter_enquiry@hvnzda.org.nz . Your enquiry will be forwarded on to the person in charge of that particular hunt.
  3. The person in charge of your hunt will make contact will you. At this point it may be necessary to discuss more details of the hunt and gain a better understanding of your hunting experience to make sure the hunt is suitable for you.
  4. After talking to the person in charge of the hunt and gaining more information about the hunt and your experience, you may be asked to pay a deposit to secure your place.
NB: Please note that these club hunts are a chance for you to meet and hunt with different people from throughout the club. There is no guarantee of shooting game. All hunts are on public, free-range land available to anyone. Like any hunting trip, we have no control over the weather. The person in charge of the trip reserves the right to postpone or cancel the trip as he/she sees fit. Approximate costs for hunts are only included to give you are “ball-park” figure of the rough cost involved. These costings are not definite.
NOTE: These trips are not ‘Guided’ nor part of the HUNTS programme; each participant is responsible for their own hunting and should be competent in the bush. As an indication of fitness levels required, compare the suggestions in the following pdf.
